Sujet: component origin for assembly

component origin for assembly
Hello,

Is there some rules to respect to draw the package (Inside Eagle) to have no problem
during the assembly for the component position task ?

How the assembly tool do to chose the component place on the PCB ?
The origin of the component is important ?

Best Regards

Eric

component origin for assembly
Hi Eric,

The packages and pads should be necessarily applied according to manufacturer's specifications.
It is important too that the paste(tCream and bCream) and soldermask (tStop and bStop) be considered to the copper layer.

The position of the component is determined by the coordinates of the Origins. Therefore this should necessarily centered in the middle of the component. On issuance of the Pick & Place file (for example, at the ULP "mountsmd") are output the coordinates of the Origins. These coordinates are used for program creation of the placement machine and for programming the final inspection.
Should the component have a polarity so as PIN1 clearly labeled in the assembly plan.
